SAPS in Polokwane arrested two suspects aged 20 and 22 for house robbery at Bendor surbub in Polokwane

LIMPOPO- The members of the South African Police Service in Polokwane arrested two suspects aged 20 and 22 who have just robbed a family in Bendor Surbub, in the City of Polokwane last night, on 12 November 2020 at about 20:50.

Three suspects armed with a firearm and a sharp instrument allegedly intruded into the house, entered one of the rooms where a woman was sleeping and tightened her with robes.

The suspects then took cellphones and a school bag. They proceeded to the other rooms, threatened the occupants and took several cell phones, jewelries, car, house keys, an undisclosed amount of money and clothes.

One of the victim’s managed to contact the police while the suspects were still in the house.They responded swiftly and managed to arrest two suspects not far from the crime scene after they attempted to evade the arrest.The third one managed to escape. Police recovered some of the robbed items, a knife and toy gun.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has applauded the prompt reaction by the Police members which resulted into the arrest of these suspects. Both suspects are expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of house robbery.
