AmaZulu have completed the signing of veteran former Kaizer Chiefs winger Siphiwe Tshabalala, one of 10 new payers unveiled by the club on Monday.
Tshabalala, 36, who has been inactive for almost 18 months after leaving Turkish side BB Erzurumspor, makes a return to the DStv Premiership having previously spent 12 seasons with Kaizer Chiefs.
He is likely to provide a more central role in the Usuthu team, having lost some of his pace, but none of his guile.
Tshabalala’s last game in the South African top-fight was for Chiefs against Maritzburg United in August 2018.
AmaZulu, who have an ambitious new owner in businessman Sandile Zungu, have also captured the Orando Pirates trio of Luvuyo Memela, Thembela Sikhakhane and Augustine Mulenga.
Sikhakhane spent last season at the cub on loan, while Zambian international Mulenga has previously been unveiled by new-boys TTM, but it seems never actually signed.
Former Cape Town City striker Siphelele Mthembu is another new arrival, as is ex-Highlands Park defender Limbikani Mzava.
