DEPARTMENT WARNS THE PUBLIC ABOUT SCAMMERS PROMISING PEOPLE JOBS

LIMPOPO- Limpopo Department of Health wishes to warn community members about scammers who are all out promising them jobs citing that they are officials working in the department and in the MEC office.

These scammers modus operandi include impersonating the department’s Human Resources Manager, Hospital CEO’s, other officials acting on behalf of the department or the MEC’s office officials to solicit bribes by promising people jobs.

The department wishes to advise all and sundry that whenever there are positions to be filled, they will be advertised publicly on media and government platforms. Therefore if anyone calls under the guise of promising you a post in exchange of money is actually a scammer.

“Our people must know that all our vacant positions are advertised, followed by a selection process of which interviews are conducted to find a suitable candidate for the position. Therefore, if anyone calls to offer you a job in exchange for a bribe, report them to the police with immediate effect,” reacted MEC Ramathuba.

The department is working with law enforcement agencies to arrest these scammers. We call upon community members to be vigilant.
