Man kills himself and daughters in a fire

Limpopo MEC for Social Development Nkakareng Rakgoale is encouraging families to utilise the department’s programmes when they are experiencing difficulties in relationships and their homes.

This as the MEC reacted with shock to the death of a 51-year-old man and his two daughters aged 9 and 13, who died in a suspected gender-based violence incident which took place at Nkowankowa outside Tzaneen on Monday.

The police are investigating two counts of murder and inquest after the man allegedly set alight the house while he was inside with his two daughters.

Provincial department spokesperson Witness Tiva says the department is offering family preservation programs that are aimed at assisting families that are in conflict and toxic relationships.
