“We don’t have to beat Kaizer Chiefs to win the league” This is the harsh words from the Mamelodi Sundowns head coach  after they walloped Amazulu by 5 goals zero in the Telkom Knockout last 16 yesterday. Mamelodi Sundowns will be playing Kaizer Chiefs on the 27th of this Month.

It has now become personal between Ernst Middendorp and Pitso Mosimane. Lately the two masters has clashed off the pitch and that makes the game between the two more interesting before the actual kick off.  Coach Pitso Mosimane once highlighted that this season the Amakhosi are benefiting from the refs mistakes. Middendorp responded harsh by saying “He talk too much” referring to coach Pitso.

Yesterday Mamelodi Sundowns crushed Amazulu, in the post match interviews Pitso Mosimane said he is not worried about Kaizer Chiefs. They are playing Highlands Park on Wednesday before they collide with the on form Amakhosi. Mosimane added “I wish my players can understand that you don’t have to beat Chiefs to win the league”

Also coach Middendorp was spotted in watching the Amazulu vs Mamelodi Sundowns game. Chiefs come to this game highly motivated after they defeated Sundowns in the recent Shell Helix Ultra cup by 4 goals to 2 and beating Cape Town city on penalties after the two teams played a 1 all draw for 120 minutes.
