ER24: [CARLETONVILLE] – Taxi burns leaving three injured

Three people were left injured yesterday evening when the taxi they were travelling in caught alight on the R501 in Carletonville.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Provincial Fire Services, arrived on the scene at 17h41 to find the taxi on the side of the road well alight.

Paramedics quickly assessed the passengers and found that only three patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
