Mazibuye African Congress an attempt to destabilise the ANC-SANCO
The South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) in the North West on Tuesday dismissed the formation of the KwaZulu-Natal based Mazibuye African Congress (MAC) as nothing but an attempt to destabilise the African National Congress (ANC) in the run-up to the 2019 elections.
“The masterminds behind the party have no interest whatsoever in the development of our communities or serving them,” declared SANCO Provincial Chairperson Paul Sebegoe.
Sebegoe said that those that have been associated with the party thus far are power mongers who have used their positions to enrich themselves, their families and friends.
He said that the ANC and its alliance partners must not be sidetracked by the MAC scarecrow that is aimed at entrenching the leadership of dubious characters within its ranks.
”The masses of our people will only respect the ANC and vote for it if it acts decisively against corrupt leaders. A fight-back strategy that is backed by the threat of a non-existent party will only undermine the renewed hope that our people have in their glorious movement,” he stressed.
Sebegoe said that the ANC must not be held to ransom by leaders who are only loyal to their stomachs.
“The masses of people will not be swayed by empty rhetoric or fraudsters who are trying to rebrand themselves,” he emphasised.
He said that ANC leaders who have shared platforms with MAC leaders and whom they claim support their formation must clarify their position.
“The North West province is not a playground for nonentities. We will intensify our efforts for an ANC election victory and win the elections at street level,” underscored Sebegoe.
