Daniel Brothers, previously known as “Ntwa na Nice” is a Tzaneen-based R&B duo who were both born and raised in a small town called Msiphane in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The name Daniel Brothers comes from the fact that both their fathers’ first names are Daniel.
The duo consists of Ntwanano Mhlongo (28) who is a producer, DJ and vocals, and Fikile Ngobeni (24) who is also a vocalist. Their career began in 2006 as friends and later became a group which saw them release their first song titled “N’wana Mhani Woni Jikela”. The song gave them popularity within the villages of Tzaneen and they started performing in various places.
In 2015, they met record label owner and producer Steven Makhongela (Sumthyn Black) who signed them into his record label. Through his label, they released the hit song “U Sasekile” and “Murhadziwa” which became hit singles among radio stations such as Munghana Lonene FM, GCR, Mala FM, Alex FM, and others. Their debut album was released by Sumthyn Music in 2016 and was titled “New Beginnings”. The album won 2 awards (Best New Comer, Best R&B Album) at the 2016 Munghana Lonene FM Music Awards.
In 2017, they released their 2nd studio album titled “Journey to Love” which featured hit singles “Ri rhandzu ra ntiyiso”, “Dance”, and “Nsati wa mina” featuring the gospel musician Jeff Jeff.
